St Laurence - Art Unlimited

About Art Unlimited

Art Unlimited - situated in the historic Old Geelong Gaol - is a professional access studio for practising artists with a disability.

The vitality of their work is a result of the unique way each artist interprets their world.

The diverse nature of these works is a direct outcome of the artists being given full autonomy over their nature and subject matter.

The work emanating from the Art Unlimited studio is generically known as "Outsider Art".

Attending artists are encouraged (where appropriate) to extend their art practice into new fields. We currently offer mediums including sculpture, works on paper (drawing, pastel and oil pastels), painting, ceramics and new media (film making, including animation).

Professional, qualified artists who maintain their own art practice staff the studio and provide the artists with professional advice and guidance.

Art Unlimited is a place of supported employment with the artists’ work for sale. Through exhibitions, stock available at the studio, and via this website, the artists gain an income from their sales.

We also carry a range of cards with a focus on the Christmas season. These are available through the St Laurence website.
